While recharging mobile prepaid services of VI, you might have encountered with – no service validity term. In app or website, this message only highlights that no service validity available with this pack or plan, but in detail nothing has been explained. So, what does it mean? What telecommunication providers want to say to users? If you are confused about this term, then keep reading to know everything in detail below.
Well guys No service validity means in Vi is – this is not an extension pack, and you wouldn’t get an extension of current service and whatever pack you opted as add-on-pack it will be valid till current validity.
In simple words, no service validity means no extra validity will be granted and the current value of add-on-pack will be work as long as the validity is available.
An Example: Suppose you had previously recharged for Rs 666 plan for 84 days which had unlimited calls, SMS and 2GB per day data pack. Now you need more data, so whichever add-on pack you choose, its validity will be as per primary plan or Rs 666 i.e. only 84 days. So, no service validity will be given and after 84 days outgoing calls, SMS, mobile data will stop and add-on-pack features will also end.
The same has been explained on myvi.in website and it has been clearly mentioned that “No service validity” means you would not get any extension of the current service. Thus, Vi prepaid plans with the tag “No service validity” include no service validity and cannot be used for service extension.
So, if you are thinking that opting for an add-on pack will increase the validity by 10 or 20 days, then that is not going to happen. Hence choose an add-on-pack with caution and read all terms carefully or talk to customer care.
The same case you can see in the Airtel, Jio, and BSNL. And in all these the No service validity means, you will get extra talk time, extra data, but the validity will not be extended. You can only extend the validity by renewing a new plan that offers validity of 24 days, 28 days, 30 days, 56 days, 84 days, 365 days and cost between Rs 299 to 3199.

So based on the budget, and situation you can opt for minimum to unlimited smart recharge. This gives you long-term validity benefits with unlimited calls, sms, 4G data, free 5G data and streaming services.
