Is this the end of the iPhone, as the Tesla Pi phone is rumored to be released sometime in the near future?

Apple’s iPhone has long dominated the smartphone world, but for some time now a new name has been in the news – Tesla Pi Phone. Is Elon Musk’s company really going to enter the smartphone market, or is it just another viral internet myth? Today we will look for the answer to this question, but not just on the basis of rumors, but with the facts that have come to the fore so far.

First of all, it is important to understand that most of the discussions about the Tesla Pi phone are based on YouTube videos, social media posts and some concept designs. There has been no official confirmation from Tesla or Elon Musk yet. In 2021, a design studio ADR presented the vision of a hypothetical Tesla phone, after which this speculation started. Musk himself has said many times that he has no special interest in making smartphones. In Joe Rogan’s podcast, he clearly said that if companies like Apple or Google increase censorship on their platforms, then Tesla may have to make an alternative. He also expressed the possibility of this in a tweet in 2022, but no concrete plan has been made yet.

Now the question arises that even if Tesla phone comes, what will it be like? According to some leaks, it may have Starlink satellite connectivity, which will allow users to access the super fast Internet even without a 5G or 6G mobile network from any part for the world. But this technology is still in its early stages, and it will not be easy to implement it in a device as small as a smartphone. Apart from this, features like solar charging and Neuralink are also in discussion, but they seem more like science fiction right now. On the other hand, if we talk about hardware, Tesla has experience in semiconductor design, but making mobile chips is a different game. While Apple uses ARM architecture in its A-series chips, Tesla will have to compete with companies like Qualcomm and MediaTek.

Many speculations are also being made about the price. According to some sources like airtel.in, smartprix.com, and cashify.in, this phone can be in the range of $800 to $1200 (about ₹69,999 to ₹1,00,000), which is equal to premium devices like iPhone or Sasmung S25. However, in some viral posts it is being described as very cheap ($175 or ₹15,000), which seems suspicious. There is also no concrete information about the release date of Tesla Pi phone. Some leaks (West Tech Channel on YouTube) have mentioned the time of 2025 or 2026 and claims it will have Tesla OS, Grok AI, but all this is nothing more than speculation.

Another big issue is that a lot of fake news is being spread on the internet about the Tesla Pi phone. Some YouTube channels have claimed that this phone will also work on Mars or it will have a cryptocurrency mining feature, but all this seems completely impractical as of now. In fact, given Tesla’s focus on current projects such as electric cars, SpaceX, and Neuralink, making smartphones does not seem to be their priority.

So will the Tesla Pi phone really come? At the moment, the answer is NO. Apple’s iPhone has a strong hold in the market due to its exclusive ecosystem, processing power, and software optimization. If Tesla wants to enter this field, then it will have to work big not only on hardware but also on software (Tesla OS), app support, and user experience. As of now, the Tesla Pi phone seems to be nothing more than an interesting concept. So if you see any post or video claiming its launch, then definitely fact-check it. Until Tesla or Musk himself says something official, it will remain just another internet sensation.
