Canon announced the 5D Mark 4 DSLR Camera, an upgrade version of 5D Mark III in the extremely popular 5D series. It is the fourth iteration of the company’s popular full-frame DSLR camera originally launched in 2005. It’s the first Canon DSLR camera to shoot 4K video, and it’s also the first 5D to come with Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, and a touchscreen.
Don’t forget to catch the preview video of Canon 5D Mark IV with full hardware details below:
Canon EOS 5D Mark 4 Specifications
The 5D Mark IV houses an all-new full frame 30.4-megapixel CMOS sensor, has a native ISO range of 100-32,000 (which is expandable to 50-102,400), and uses Canon’s Digic 6+ image processor with a cunning 150,000-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor.
It comes with an improved speed and excellent image quality, gets a small bump up in shooting speed to 7.0 frames per second versus 6.0 on the Mark III.
The Mark 4 has the same size 3.2-inch LCD screen as the Mark 3. The resolution gets a bump up to 1.62 million dots. Better yet, the panel is now touch-sensitive, which makes it possible for users to tap to select their focus point or to pinch-and-zoom when reviewing images.
In addition to that, Canon 5D Mark 4 features built-in Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC connectivity. It weighs 890 grams only with batteries.
