When you download a file using torrent then it shows peers and seeds option. So what is uTorrent seeding and how does it work while torrenting? Let’s get more thoughts on this topic below, so get an idea!
Well you are aware about the torrent. It is peer to peer connection between 2 devices, which we use to share file over internet. So using torrent, people download the files, eBooks, freemium software, patch, PC games, and other stuff.
The download on torrent is quite easy and reliable as compare to other sources because in torrent you get many devices which all work as server and the chances, you don’t get any file is very minimum.
So while downloading a file using torrent, you must have seen the seeds and peers option in the uTorrent software, which commonly known as uTorrent seeding and peering.
What is uTorrent Seeding?
uTorrent Seeding meaning is sharing a file or multiple files with other peers. So once the downloading of torrent job finishes, and thereafter you leave the torrent job seeding, it uploads the file(s) to other peers so they can enjoy them too.
Although the length of time that you should leave the file seeding is not defined, it is recommended that you share until the amount of data you upload reaches at least the same as the amount of data that you have download, also known as reaching a 1.0 ratio.
It’s difficult to know exactly when you hit this ratio but generally people who leave the swarm before even getting close to that ratio are labeled as leechers.
Because leechers have a detrimental effect on swarms, some peers or even private trackers may block connections to you.
So this is all about the torrent seeding.
